Our New Avondale Store - Opening in September!

July 30, 2010 - Another conveniently located, full service A to Z location is coming... this one to the West Valley! Opening in September, 2010, the store is located on the southeast corner of Dysart and Van Buren in Avondale. It's just 1/2 block south of I-10 at the Dysart exit. Richard Herig - “I moved into a new home up by the Paradise Valley store in 1968, when the pavement ended at Cactus, and there were very few business up here. All of the homes out here were new homes; most of the homeowners were just getting started, and we needed everything. But we didn’t have the budget to buy much, so A to Z Equipment Rentals and Sales, in the little original building was where we came for tools. But A to Z was much more than that to us. It was a total resource, not just a rental store. The guys that worked there were my consultants in every project I tackled. And they were sensitive to young families getting started. A to Z was happy to show us the most economical way to do things.

5 years after I moved up there, I decided to paint my house. Now, A to Z always tells their customers the truth; they were very upfront with me about how the painting equipment I rented had to be returned clean, or there would be an extra charge. I rented a compressor and started painting. I didn’t realize I had to dilute the paint, so I was having a hard time painting, and when the wind came up, everything got to be a mess. Compressor, hoses, everything. Because I had not diluted the paint, I’d had to spend way more on paint than I planned. I gave up with about 35% of the house painted, and took the equipment back to A to Z. I had tried to clean it, but it was too much of a mess. I had maybe $20 in my pocket, and was wondering how I’d pay the cleaning charges. The guys looked at the equipment and realized I’d never diluted the paint. They were kind of like “well, you gave it a good try,” and decided not to charge me the cleaning fee.

That sealed my relationship with A to Z. They didn’t treat me like an idiot, they didn’t try to gouge me for what I’d done to their machine, and everyone was very nice. I still go to A to Z, even if I have to drive out of my way, and I always will."

Robert R. Nally, President, Apache Equipment Corporation - Fred is a person in the rental industry that I highly admire and respect. He is a man of principle and professionalism.
