Here's What Some of Our Customers Are Saying...
John D Nation, Clean Cut Lawns- “To Fred, Vicki, Doug and all of the A to Z Family, Tom, Camelback Landscaping - “My Dad was an A to Z Equipment Rentals and Sales customer, back when the store was located at 38th St. and Thomas, so I guess I’ve been an A to Z customer for 35 years. The prices are fair, the service is good, I get great communication from the staff—they know the equipment. If there’s ever been an issue in 35 years, they take care of it fairly. I am a loyal person by nature, and I am loyal to A to Z for the good service I get there.” Bob Schannault, Phoenix Solutions - “We came from Michigan 3 years ago with our New Holland Construction Equipment, so we needed a New Holland dealer, and found A to Z Equipment Rentals and Sales. They fit the bill and my salesman does a good job, so I even purchased another New Holland backhoe from them.” Elliot, Beekeeper - “I started coming into A to Z with my Dad when I was 8 or 9 years old. He rented everything from A to Z, and I’ve been renting ever since. Reasonable prices and good services keeps me coming back!” Greg, Mountain States Construction - “I feel like I’m always doing something at A to Z Equipment Rentals and Sales-buying equipment, renting equipment, picking up parts-they have it all. A to Z has good equipment, but their personnel are the key-always helpful and knowledgeable!” Kevin Carey - "All my experiences with A to Z have been great, they’ve always bent over backwards Richard, Rainbow Demolition - “Rainbow Demolition, an ARDC Company has been coming to A to Z Equipment Rentals and Sales for umpteen gazillion years-the service is great, just like the people that work there. Rainbow Demolition uses all of their services-We rent and buy equipment, and get our equipment serviced there.” Richard Herig - “I moved into a new home up by the Paradise Valley store in 1968, when the pavement ended at Cactus, and there were very few business up here. All of the homes out here were new homes; most of the homeowners were just getting started, and we needed everything. But we didn’t have the budget to buy much, so A to Z Equipment Rentals and Sales, in the little original building was where we came for tools. But A to Z was much more than that to us. It was a total resource, not just a rental store. The guys that worked there were my consultants in every project I tackled. And they were sensitive to young families getting started. A to Z was happy to show us the most economical way to do things. 5 years after I moved up there, I decided to paint my house. Now, A to Z always tells their customers the truth; they were very upfront with me about how the painting equipment I rented had to be returned clean, or there would be an extra charge. I rented a compressor and started painting. I didn’t realize I had to dilute the paint, so I was having a hard time painting, and when the wind came up, everything got to be a mess. Compressor, hoses, everything. Because I had not diluted the paint, I’d had to spend way more on paint than I planned. I gave up with about 35% of the house painted, and took the equipment back to A to Z. I had tried to clean it, but it was too much of a mess. I had maybe $20 in my pocket, and was wondering how I’d pay the cleaning charges. The guys looked at the equipment and realized I’d never diluted the paint. They were kind of like “well, you gave it a good try,” and decided not to charge me the cleaning fee. That sealed my relationship with A to Z. They didn’t treat me like an idiot, they didn’t try to gouge me for what I’d done to their machine, and everyone was very nice. I still go to A to Z, even if I have to drive out of my way, and I always will." Robert Adams, Adams Contracting - "I’ve been coming to the Indian School Rd. store of A to Z Equipment Rentals and Sales since they opened. They’ve got everything I need, and all of the men and women that work there give me great service. And I’ve never had an equipment failure when I rent from A to Z.” Terry, Sharico Enterprises - "I like dealing with A to Z Equipment Rentals and Sales, I’ve always had a good rapport with the people in sales and parts. We’ve purchased a number of tractors and a Gator from A to Z over the years.” Mike Matten, Trees by Mike - "I’ve been doing business with A to Z Equipment Rentals and Sales for 18 years-I buy and rent equipment, get parts, and use their service shops. I look forward to going to David Whitley, Whitley Concrete - “I’ve been a customer at A to Z Equipment Rentals and Sales for probably 12 or 14 years. Simply put, A to Z is where I go when I need something. The staff is great, they give me great service, and are just super guys to work with!” Vanessa Cohorn, Marriott Camelback Inn - “I have a crew of 16 landscapers, and as a resort, our needs are somewhat specialized. We need the kinds of tools that A to Z Equipment Rentals and Sales carries – the equipment I get there is a better quality than most equipment you’ll find, and it makes a big difference to me. I have a salesman assigned to me, and he knows what I need, but I can call the stores, and get just as high a level of service from anyone who answers the phone – it doesn’t matter who you get, they’ve been trained well, and are all professional, friendly and helpful. I think it reflects on the management at A to Z; I’ve always believed that if you take good care of your employees, they’ll take good care of the customers. Top quality equipment, competitive prices, but for me, it’s the people and the good service they give me.” Tim Martori, T. Martori Service & Design - “A to Z Equipment Rentals and Sales has great equipment, but more importantly to me, they have the best people. Everyone I have dealt with seems happy in their job, and that come thru in the way they take care of their customers. I live in South Scottsdale, and there’re other equipment dealers closer, but I’ll drive up to A to Z every time-I’ve been trading there for 20 years, and some of the employees that took care of me when I first came in are still there, and I like that kind of consistency. And the deals on used equipment can’t be beat. A to Z rents out a piece of equipment a few times, then I can get a ‘smoking deal’ on it” James Young, Rummel Construction - “Quick response and quality products. I think what I like the most is the niche A to Z covers-from residential to construction equipment.” Max, Holistic Horticulture - “I used to come into A to Z with my Grandfather when I was just a kid! Now, I use A to Z Equipment Rentals and Sales for rentals, purchases and repairs. Once I started my own business, I tried another shop for repairs, but A to Z’s customer service was quite superior, their prices competitive and repairs and parts cost no more there than at some lackluster competitors—sometimes less!” Daniel Goodman - “When I first started coming into A to Z, the Phoenix City Limits ended at Cactus, and I was a boy coming in with my Dad to rent a tiller. He used to say that A to Z rented everything we needed for work around the house, except the mule!” Bill Clark, AAA Landscape - ”I’ve been dealing with A to Z Equipment Rentals and Sales for a long time because they always have anything we need, and if they don’t, they know where to get it for us. Their prices are reasonable, and the guys treat me great.” Bert, Hoedown - ”I’ve been trading at A to Z Equipment Rentals and Sales since 1994. I was just starting out in my landscaping business then, and used another shop at first, but they didn’t have everything A to Z has. And I feel like A to Z educated me. The mechanics take the time to make sure I understand the best way to use and take care of my machines-if I bring a machine in for service, they don’t just fix the problem, they check out the whole machine for anything else that could go wrong, and that saves me more downtime. A to Z has the parts I need too. Look, downtime costs me money, and I don’t need it. A to Z keeps me up and running. And the people are great-I always feel like I am at the front of the line, whether I am or not. They know me, and they know my job.” Alex Malatesta, Paradise Valley Property Management - “My mother brought me to A to Z Equipment Rentals and Sales when I was 15 yrs. old, to rent me a chain saw to cut trees at our house. Mark Baldenegro - “A to Z Equipment Rentals and Sales has, for me, a good variety of the products I want, convenient locations and knowledgeable people. I’ve been trading with A to Z for 15 years or more, and they’ve done some special things for me more than once, like tracking down hard to find parts.” Brad Schmidt - 30 years ago on some Sunday like today Dad would announce a question in the car on our way home from church that sounded something like this….”Who wants to drive through A to Z?” We all knew….this was the call to action to get the car wash like experience of driving through Door #2 of the Warehouse on Indian School… to check out the cool big machines and to plot out our next big weekend project. Between Bobcats and Backhoes we learned that the A to Z drive through treat was a cover for Dad’s salesmanship to getting us to be loyal weekend warriors in our yard. His plan worked. I still find myself in bay #2 renting a tool here and there for my random projects on any given weekend. When I saw the 50 year anniversary flyer I chuckled a bit as I find myself trying for the same buy-in with my kids. It’s a different generation now but I’m off to a good start as my son and I enjoy making the trek to do the drill. Thanks for the memories and more importantly, the consistent top service and quality product. 50 years of success is more than enough to have made me a customer for life! Mark and Katie Syracuse - We have lived in our home near the 42nd Street store for 23 years. During that time, we have been frequent customers of A-Z Equipment rentals. Many home improvements -- and outdoor celebrations -- would not have been possible without you. The professional advice, along with the finest customer service, has been constant throughout the years and is beyond description. Here's What Some of Our Industry Colleagues Are Saying... Robert R. Nally, President, Apache Equipment Corporation - Fred is a person in the rental industry that I highly admire and respect. He is a man of principle and professionalism. His approach to the rental business in many ways has been and is visionary. Customers would call when I first entered the rental business and ask for unusual rental items. Something like a sod cutter and I would always referred them on to Fred at A to Z because I knew he could accommodate many unusual and interesting rental requests. In that effort over the years Fred has built a solid rental and sales business. One of Fred’s positive attributes has been his willingness to share his experience and provide council to other rental operators. I have learned from him and have come to appreciate his wisdom and profound council. His example in life and as a businessman is impeccable. Even at his age today it is remarkable to see him progressing and building onto his rental business. I take this opportunity to express to you, Fred that you are one of the noble and great ones in this rental industry. To your credit you have build a firm foundation upon good business practices and principles through hard work and sacrifice. The results in manifested in your fine organization that of A to Z Rentals and Sales. I appreciate our past association and friendship. Congratulations upon reaching this milestone in your life. Mike Watts, Sunstate Equipment - You have been a leader in the equipment rental business for 50 years and I am proud to say I have known you for 39 of those years. You are not only a good businessman, but an ambassador for good business practices. I wish you continued success. Rosie Romero - Rosie On The House - “In custom home remodeling it’s nearly impossible to have all the tools you need to complete the job, let alone the ability to take them with you to every jobsite. For over 20 years A to Z has been there for us, and hundreds of other valley contractors since ‘60, providing the right tools to get the job done right. For the largest selection of the highest quality tools; be it buy or rent, contractor or homeowner, projects or parties, A to Z Equipment is our one stop shop.” East Valley Store Expansion - Coming September 2010!
Architect's Rendering July 30, 2010 - A to Z founder and General Manager, Fred Matricardi, has announced that construction is nearly completed on a major expansion of our East Valley location at 1313 E. Baseline Rd. in Gilbert, Arizona. Move-in and opening is scheduled for early to mid-September of 2010, coinciding with the company’s 50th Anniversary. The new facility will include a 55,000 sq. foot building with one drive-thru lane, and a 30,000 sq. ft. “breezeway” with 3 additional drive-thru lanes. These drive-thru lanes, which run completely through the building, are a signature feature at A to Z, allowing the customers to drive into the building to pick up or drop off equipment, out of the elements. The expansion will house a large sales and rental equipment showroom, warehousing, offices, equipment service and storage areas. The company’s executive and administrative offices as well as the purchasing and shipping/receiving departments. all currently located at 4050 E. Indian School Rd. in Phoenix, will be making the move to the new Gilbert building. A to Z personnel moving from Phoenix to the new Gilbert offices will total about 20, and Matricardi expects to hire at least 10 more technicians and customer service staff after the building opens. The expansion of the East Valley A to Z Equipment Rentals and Sales, which was opened at the corner of Baseline and Stonehenge in 2000, has been in the planning and approval stages since 2004. The architect is Barbes, Bidanjiri & Associates, and Colton Constructors, Inc., who has built each of the three A to Z locations, is once again the general contractor. When asked why he chose to begin a very significant expansion in the current uncertain economic clime, Matricardi says “We have been planning this for 5 years-we ran out of room about 2 years ago. Now we have a building permit, the financing is secured, we can find subcontractors anxious to go to work and costs are lower. We will need this expansion desperately once the economy recovers, and at that time we would have a difficult time trying to do it. So now is the perfect time to build!” Stihl Warranty Expands to 2 Years 10" Electric Powered Walk-Behind Concrete Saw 8000 CFM, Tow-Behind Leaf and Debris Blower Honda EU3000 Handi Generator Buffalo Turbine "Monsoon" Dust Control Sprayer/Blowers Honda's New 36 Month Warranty Barreto Hydraulic Trenchers, Tillers and Log Splitters | Home | Equipment Rentals | Event & Party Rentals | Designed and maintained by A to Z Equipment Rentals and Sales ©2007 |
